is a 1966 Japanese B movie directed by Seijun Suzuki for the Nikkatsu Corporation. It is Suzuki’s third adaptation of a Toko Kon novel, following The Bastard and Stories of Bastards: Born Under a Bad Star.
Drama that follows the turbulent life of Tsuyuko, a young woman from the provincial town of Kawachi. After facing betrayal and hardship in her family life, Tsuyuko moves to Osaka to start anew. In the city, she navigates a series of challenging relationships and jobs, from working in a bar to becoming a geisha, each step reflecting her struggle for independence and self-discovery.
